Katie and Chris’s wedding at Main Street Ballroom was a summer dream! Their big day was beaming with cheerful colors of orange and pink tones that matched the joy of their celebration. Historic Ellicott City is the perfect location for any wedding day. The city is full of local charm that you can feel through the historic architecture and quiet city life.

The First Look

Katie and Chris had the most adorable first look! As he turned to see his bride for the first time, his smile said it all. He was overflowing with pride and joy at how beautiful Katie was in her wedding gown. These are the moments I live for as a wedding photographer! Capturing the emotion of the wedding day will allow couples to relive the moment for years to come.

Katie and Chris had two first looks on their wedding day. One with each other and one with their dog! It was hard to tell who was more excited to see Katie, Chris or their adorable pup. You could tell that both felt incredibly lucky to have her in their life. I am all for couples including their fur babies in their wedding day. It’s a big deal for them too when mom and dad are tying the knot!

The Wedding Venue

Main Street Ballroom in Ellicott City is a beautiful wedding venue. Located in the heart of Ellicott City, it’s rustic and industrial charm is the perfect backdrop for any elegant wedding day. Katie and Chris’s ceremony glowed with string lights hanging from the ceiling. Katie lined the aisle with golden pineapples which was such a fun and creative idea for a summer wedding! The bright, warm florals on the archway at the end of the aisle and in their wedding bouquets tied everything together perfectly.

Sweet Moments from Katie and Chris’s Big Day

Katie and Chris are such a fun, happy couple! Their wedding day couldn’t have felt more like them. That’s what it’s all about! It’s so important to celebrate this special moment in your life in a way that tells your personal love story.

Katie and Chris had an ice cream truck at their wedding reception. This is the perfect idea for a summer wedding day! There’s nothing like a sweet treat to cool you down on a hot summer evening. Who wouldn’t want to toast the bride and groom with a delicious ice cream cone in hand?!

Sweeter than the ice cream, was watching Katie and her dad with one another. Having lost my Dad at a young age, I’m a sucker for father/daughter relationships. Especially seeing them together on a wedding day. Katie’s tender moments with her dad swelled my heart with emotion. These two are so sweet and care so much for one another. Her dad is so proud of his beautiful little girl!

A Special Thank You

Kaite and Chris – I can’t thank you both enough for inviting me to capture your wedding day at Main Street Ballroom. You two have such a fun marriage ahead of you. I can only imagine the sweet adventures you’ll share with one another (and with your adorable pup, of course)! I hope you love these wedding portraits as much as I do. Congratulations, you two!
