Looking for a venue that is both classic and charming for your timeless wedding? I want to share a Catonsville venue with you, one that I got to explore while working with bride Krystal, husband Ben (and their daughter, Piper)! As a Baltimore wedding photographer I was lucky to capture their day in the enchanting deep reds and greens of fall. Let’s dive into it!
Overhills Mansion is a spectacular historic building, featuring prominent white columns and 30 acres of a large, beautifully landscaped lawn. The location is only 5 minutes from the BWI Airport and 30 minutes from Washington, DC, which makes it a great central location for your wedding party.
The building has both outdoor and indoor locations for your event, including a beautiful verandah out back. Inside, the rooms have lovely wood paneling, tall windows, and gold-accented decor. Outside, the trees are lined with twinkle lights.
Krystal and Ben opted to do their First Look and portraits on the grounds, and we got a beautiful background of full trees, open sky, and the mansion’s beautiful white walls.
With your reservation, you have the mansion to yourselves for up to 15 hours. This charming venue includes your choice of four ceremony locations and two reception areas. The venue also has a bridal suite and groom’s room.
Guests can enjoy free off street parking during the event. For cocktail hour and the reception, your choice of available chairs (white or gold), white linens, and tables are included in the package.
To make things easier for brides, grooms, and their families, White House Overhill Mansion caters the event in full, per your menu specifications, and the food is amazing! (Ben and Krystal had three flavors of cupcakes, and all of them were delicious!) A day-of wedding coordinator is also provided to you so that everything goes off without so much as a hiccup. With all the options, reserving Overhills Mansion can definitely alleviate your wedding stress!
As a photographer, I could really see the love in Ben and Krystal’s relationship. Krystal’s real smile shines when Ben’s around.
But the real star of the show was Ben’s daughter, Piper! She was a lovely flower girl, she made a “forever” artwork at the marriage certificate signing. They even included her silhouette on the wedding topper. It is always an honor to see a family’s love come together in abundance for a wedding.
All in all, this was a gorgeous autumn wedding in Catonsville. When you’re ready to book your Baltimore wedding photographer, drop me a line and let’s plan to capture your perfect day!
