If you haven’t been around Fells Point in Baltimore, here’s your official invitation. I remembered just how charming this neighborhood was when I was down there to shoot engagements with Liz and Chris for their Fells Point Engagement!
Here’s my complete review of Fells Point as a location for your Baltimore engagement photo session.
Fells Point is in southeast Baltimore, right next to the inner harbor of the Patapsco River. This is another historic area in Baltimore, since it’s the home of Frederick Douglass—but it’s also home to a ton of shopping and great eats. Not to mention, the old world vibes coupled with colorful murals.
As a Baltimore photographer, I like shooting at Fells Point because it’s got a ton of options. We love having so many backdrop options, especially when you’re looking for the right engagement photo.
First, it has areas that feel really cozy and nostalgic. Classic colonial architecture, but also bright, colorful trim and herringbone brick walkways, and those super cute streetlamps you find downtown.
Fells Point also has the urban mural work and cityscapes of your dreams. On this trip, we loved these orange and blue masterpieces, which added so much character to the portraits. The bright colors brought out the fun in this couple.
With all of the backdrops to choose from here at Fells Point, I think engagements here really feel contemporary and romantic. As well as offer a lot of variety for your final gallery. It was especially fun to take Chris and Liz out on the dock!
Water features are unmatched in engagement photos. As the sun set and the clouds rolled in, we got some amazing shots of the lights against the river, and all the spotlight settled on Chris and Liz!
Thanks so much to Chris and Liz for letting me join you and showcase this special time in your life! If you’re loving the idea of Fells Point for your upcoming Baltimore engagement photos, drop me a line here!
