Celebrating your wedding can look however you want it to because, after all, this is your day! Some of my couples go hard partying the night away with wild receptions and after-parties. While others choose to have more intimate moments with just the two of them throughout the day. However, if you are wanting something mellow and with a large group of people you love, can I suggest a Brunch Wedding? Haylee and Jack chose to have a brunch the day before their wedding to celebrate their love for each other while mingling with their favorite guests. As a Baltimore wedding photographer, this may be my new favorite trend!

Who To Invite

I recommend keeping your guest list to brunch to those that you are closest with. This will probably be your families of origin, friends who are probably in your bridal party, and extended family you adore. The people who you would want to connect personally with during your wedding festivities, but may not be able to because of the timeline of your day.

Guests Who Travel

There are plenty of perks to having a brunch wedding like Haylee and Jack did. But the one that stands out the most to me has to be how thoughtful they were with those guests who were traveling in from out of town. Their brunch wasn’t super small, but it was intimate. It gave those who did travel in for the wedding an opportunity to chat and connect with the couple without finding a moment in the many events on the wedding day.

Where To Hold A Wedding Brunch

Baltimore has dozens of amazing venues, hotels, and restaurants that can accommodate a larger party in a private room. I suggest not only having room to seat everyone but also some space where you are able to walk around and mingle with individuals. Haylee and Jack rented out a restaurant on the top of The Hotel Revival for their brunch and it was the perfect set up!

What To Do

Other than eating brunch and chatting, what do you do at a wedding brunch? This is totally up to you as a couple! If you just want to chill and chat with your guests, that is absolutely fine. But if you want to add a little more to your brunch itinerary, then I would consider a toast and cake cutting. You can use this opportunity to make a toast to your parents, future in-laws, family, and friends who are there. Thank them for their influence and support, and express excitement to be bringing two families and friends groups together.
