Who says winter weddings aren’t as beautiful as spring or summer weddings? Meredith and Connor’s moody winter wedding had everything you could ever want in a winter wedding day: snow, velvet, fur, silk, warm candlelight and most importantly, their dog, Jameson! He was the cutest and most welcoming wedding guest.
The Wedding Venue
Meredith and Connor were married in a beautiful Catholic church located in Hunt Valley, Maryland, just outside of Baltimore. The architecture and detail were so elegant. When you choose such a pretty venue, only minimal ceremony decor is needed. Catholic ceremonies are so reverent and meaningful. It really set the tone for their marriage. Though, don’t let that fool you! There were still plenty of laughs and giddy smiles during their ceremony.
Nothing makes a winter wedding more beautiful than snow. The snowfall around the church couldn’t have been timelier and added to the beauty of a moody winter wedding. The church was absolutely stunning on the outside and was perfect for their outdoor wedding portraits.
We also took some of their wedding pictures in an elegant, vintage bar. These shots had such a passionate, intimate feel! The perfect mood for celebrating their official marriage to one another!
The First Look
Meredith and Connor’s first look couldn’t have been sweeter. This is always one of my favorite parts of the wedding day. While it’s ultimately up to you and your partner whether you choose to do a first look or not, I highly recommend them! Having that intimate moment together before the ceremony helps wipe away any of those wedding jitters or nervousness.
Connor lit up when he turned around to take Meredith in. She was a vision! Her wedding gown was custom designed and perfect for a moody winter wedding. Connor was overwhelmed with joy at the sight of her and quickly wrapped her up in his arms!
Honoring Your Fur Babies on Your Wedding Day
It is crystal clear who rules the roost in Connor and Meredith’s relationship. It’s actually neither one of them but their adorable pup, Jameson! He was Meredith’s constant companion throughout the wedding day. Jameson accompanied her in the bridal suite as she was getting ready. He was close by during the first look, so he didn’t miss a thing. My favorite part, Meredith and Connor included a nod to their furry family member hidden at the bottom of their wedding cake.
If your pets are a huge part of your life, it only makes sense that are a part of your big day! They are such a comforting companion to have by your side to cure any anxiety about the day. Having a small tribute to them hidden somewhere in your wedding day is so special. Your fur babies are always everyone’s favorite wedding guest!
A Moody Winter Wedding Reception
The reception decor for Meredith and Connor’s wedding was so romantic! The reception hall was lit by hundreds of warm glowing candles surrounded by roses, velvet textures and deep tones. It couldn’t have been more beautiful for a winter wedding.
Their family had a great night on the dance floor. I love guests, bridal parties and couples who know how to celebrate! The night was full of laughter, joy and celebration for Meredith and Connor’s marriage to one another.
