Urban weddings are totally in, and if you’re looking to have a Baltimore wedding I have a venue that you will really love! Nickie and Justin invited me to shoot their getting-ready portraits at the Hotel Revival in Mt. Vernon, Baltimore, MD, and after shooting there, I think it’s a great venue for small-scale weddings. Let me share a few reasons why!
The Hotel Revival was restored in 2010, and since its reopening has been a loud supporter of community, creativity, and culture. It’s located in downtown Baltimore, about 18 minutes from the BWI airport—making it a great choice of venue if you’re planning on faraway friends or family arriving for your wedding.
Its location in Mt. Vernon also makes it a good base for other Baltimore sightseeing; the Peabody Library, Baltimore Museum of Art, Washington Monument, and more are easily accessible from the Hotel. In fact, from your room in the Hotel, you get a gorgeous view of The Monument at Mt. Vernon, which is just two blocks away.
The Hotel Revival is home to three separate event spaces, each suited for intimate marriages of less than 100 guests. The rooms have natural light, AV equipment, and 8-foot ceilings. An event team is part of your booking to help you make your Baltimore wedding shine.
Topside, the Hotel Revival’s bar/restaurant, can be contacted for catering large parties. Of course, the Hotel also has over one hundred rooms to reserve, so treat your guests and skip the extra commute!
The overall space here is eclectic, bold, and modern. Each room mixes traditional elements—original hardwood, wallpapers, and furniture—with bright colors, contemporary art, and updated lighting. There’s tons of natural light, which made these getting ready portraits feel so dreamily dramatic for Nickie and Justin.
Thanks again to Nickie and Justin for letting me take such beautiful photos of your wedding! It’s so fulfilling to work with couples as a Baltimore wedding photographer. If you’re looking for powerful photography of your important moments, reach out!
