I’m a Baltimore wedding photographer, right? And I get to see a lot of weddings in a lot of different venues. When I tell you that this Belmont Country Club wedding was one of the most photogenic venues I’ve ever photographed…and I did it with the loveliest couple! Don’t let me just talk about it–read on and see exactly what I mean!
The Belmont Country Club and Golf Course is located in Ashburn, Virginia, which is about an hour and forty minutes drive from Baltimore and forty minutes from downtown Washington D.C.
The mansion is traditional red brick and white columns, surrounded by manicured gardens, fountains, and the golf course. It’s beautiful in any season, but when I was there with Krystal and Terrence, the orange and red fall leaves were picture perfect!
The interior is classically decorated with exposed stonework, carved wooden furniture, rich colors, and heavy drapery. Chandeliers and vintage mirrors add sparkle to the scene.
A Belmont Country Club wedding will include all of the highlights of this historic building: access to the Flora Lee Bridal Suite (and that amazing clawfoot tub!!), the Billiards Room for grooms and groomsmen, an open ceremony on the grounds, and a reception in the Grand Ballroom. The venue’s max capacity is 250 guests.
The venue has in-house dinner catering, and options for the meal change depending on the season! At your menu tasting, decide your main dishes and your hor d’oeuvres.
In your five-hour event, you’ll also get white padded chairs for the ceremony; gold Chiavari chairs, floor-length linens, and gold chargers for the reception; a dance floor and a staging area; and a four hour open bar. Fun fact: with your reservation, you’ll also get a twosome of golf!
This Belmont Country Club wedding was just spectacular to shoot. While getting ready with Crystal, we got some hilarious shots of the bridesmaids in the tub, popping champagne! We also got some shots of Crystal putting on her gown and shoes in front of a lacey-looking white partition. She is the moment!
When I darted over to see Terrence, we got another set of super fun photos of the groomsmen playing pool. Tell me this doesn’t look like a poster for a blockbuster movie!
In addition, the vows that Crystal and Terrence shared were so sweet. You can just see the love and the history this couple has together. I’m so glad we worked together at their wedding.
