A timeless black-and-white portrait of a bride and groom sharing a quiet, intimate moment. The groom leans in to kiss the bride’s shoulder as she closes her eyes, embracing the connection between them. The delicate details of her lace gown and the soft blur of nearby flowers add an elegant touch, while the urban backdrop grounds the scene in authenticity. Captured by a Baltimore wedding photographer, this image is a beautiful reflection of love and tenderness.

Christina and Paul celebrated their love in a low-key, down-to-earth wedding this year, and I was lucky enough to be their Baltimore wedding photographer. We’re back photographing in front of the lovely white brick walls of Main Street Ballroom. Check it out!

Intimate Wedding at Main Street Ballroom

I’ve mentioned this upscale, urban-chic venue on my blog before. Main Street Ballroom is located in old Ellicott City, and it’s a great blank space for whatever style of wedding you’re planning. Ceremonies can be held both on the outdoor patio or inside under the twinkle lights! Plus, this venue is all about supporting local vendors and providing quality service for every couple. Read more about it here.

Paul and Christina have a long list of vendors that really made their day pop. Vibrant drinks were provided by Tiny Bubbles Bar Cart. Delicate flower arrangements were done by Sunset Florals. And the tacos, sliders, mini-pretzels, and other mouth-watering food was offered by Rogue Catering! So fun!

Unique Ceremony Seating for Family and Friends

Another special feature was provided by Partridge & Co.: the unique seating options! In addition to the regular wedding tables and chairs, they also had a set of loveseats, armchairs, and sofas for some more casual seating. For an intimate wedding like this one, it made both ceremony and reception feel so warm and inviting.

Love After Loss with Christina and Paul

This wedding was so special for the couple because of the amount of loss they experienced before the wedding. The bride, Christina, learned her first husband had cancer right after finding out they were pregnant with their first child. He then passed away that same year on Christmas, when their son was only a few months old.

For Christina’s wedding to Paul, she included the memory of her first husband by inviting his family to the wedding, having his sister marry them, and, of course, having her son walk her down the aisle. She shared how much she loved Paul for truly “embracing her story.”

So with that, I’m pretty sure I cried several times during this day! I am so excited for Christina and Paul to start their journey together. If you’re looking to tie the knot at Main Street Ballroom, I’d love to be your Baltimore wedding photographer! Get in touch with me here!
