So this time, as their Baltimore wedding photographer, we were all about emphasizing artistic and timeless images. Let’s check out the shoot.

Modern Washington DC Engagement Photos

The iconic locations of Washington DC, like the Capitol, Supreme Court Building, and National Archives building, are beautiful backdrops for any photo session. They work well in a more modern shoot because the white stone and columns provide interest for the images, without being distracting. What’s more, the grounds around each building in DC are easily walkable and there are beautiful gardens to enjoy—it’s a great choice for engagements.  

Clean and Classic Aesthetic

Washington DC is full of chic streetscapes, serene parks, and modern architecture. To keep the clean and classic aesthetic in the Capitol, wear clothes that are simple and well-tailored. We want a lot of clean lines, so keep accessories to a minimum. Bold color pairings, like black and white, can be a great choice for this style.

We’ve got tons of sophisticated poses for DC engagement photos. I especially like sitting on the staircases, it can give us great options for levels and lines. A quick look over the shoulder is a timeless pose, and it’s very flattering for everybody. Another great pose is a leaning kiss, it is an engagement shoot after all!
