Tammi and Chris live in Baltimore but decided to host their wedding in a place that they love, Charlottesville, VA. And where better than the Wool Factory for their session with Baltimore wedding photographers? The Wool Factory is a unique setting for events of all kinds, and its versatility and clean aesthetic make it an appealing option for everything from first looks to after parties.

The Wool Factory Venue

This industrial style venue is a hotspot for modern weddings, and it’s highly rated by hundreds of couples. Originally built in the 1920s, this historical building has been refurbished as an upscale venue, complete with a restaurant, brewery, and event hall. The Venue holds more than 360 guests, and is equipped for indoor or outdoor ceremonies. So the Wool Factory was the perfect choice for Tammi and Chris.

Styling Portraits at The Wool Factory

It’s always a good idea to find a venue that emphasizes your wedding style, which is exactly what Chris and Tammi were able to achieve at The Wool Factory. For example, the simple urban beauty of the venue accentuated the clean lines of Tammi’s dress silhouette. The deep greens and black of the wedding party brought opulence. Plus, they matched perfectly with the red brick of the exterior. This whole session was a lesson in wedding styling!

Inside the Venue’s Restaurant

This is such a beautiful building, and the photos we did for their first look inside the venue’s restaurant do not disappoint! Leather, brick, and wood textures add a ton to your photos here. And the historic windows are so eye-catching. I can’t remember who had the genius idea to sit Tammi on the bar next to Chris, but wow does this couple look incredible!

Finding a Photographer for Low Lighting

It was a code-red day, so you’ll see we did a lot of this couple’s wedding portraits inside. Indoor settings can be tricky. Many photographers don’t have the skill or the equipment to make these portraits really stand out. But this is a great example of how hiring a photographer who is comfortable in low lighting is super beneficial! Personally, I love how elegant these indoor portraits turned out.

If you loved the indoor photos we took here at The Wool Factory, why not plan for your own Baltimore wedding photographers? I’d love to make you stand out in your portraits on your wedding day—drop me a line here!
