The Cloisters Castle Location
Cloisters Castle is a whimsical and historic venue. Located a short 17 minutes from central Baltimore, this pseudo-Gothic manor house sits on a hill surrounded by acres of woodland. Its proximity to the city was certainly helpful for Mary, whose family flew in from Ireland!
The venue itself is a representation of a creative dream. The original owners carefully designed the manor as a passion project. They collected antiques for its decor for years after its construction in 1932. The manor features colorful stained glass, medieval carved panel work, and chestnut beaming. Perfect for this Mary and Brandt’s wedding theme!

For all fantasy fans, The Cloisters is a must-have venue. Your rental fee includes 10 hours of full access to this awe-inspiring venue and the grounds, including the spiral stair tower, the library, and the terrace.
Catering must be chosen from The Cloisters’ list of vendors. Tables and chairs are provided by the venue. Rental price varies by date and season.
Game of Thrones Red Wedding Details
Mary and Brandt coined their wedding “The Red Wedding” because of their secret nods to Game of Thrones. Their outfits were fantasy-inspired, including deep reds, romantic roses, and a cape and tiara for Mary!
Peep these Hand of the King pins that made their appearance on the groomsmens lapels. And the couple brought their dogs along—or were they direwolves? Luckily, this Game of Thrones Red Wedding didn’t include any casualties!
