Recently I had a session with a beautiful young couple in a field of flowers here in Maryland, and so much impressed me! Location
There are a lot of stunning locations in Baltimore and the surrounding areas. I am well known for capturing urban shoots in downtown and through historic DC. However, when it comes to maternity photos I do enjoy getting into a more organic atmosphere.
I absolutely adore this zinnia farm with rows of flowers, sheds, and a greenhouse. Everything screams new life and “welcome to the world!” In addition to the colorful beauty, a location like this adds more interest and depth to photos as there seems to be layers in the landscaping.
Maternity Outfits
Something else I loved about this session as a Baltimore Maternity Photographer was the outfits. The couple kept the look warm and bright with cream hues. The star of the show was definitely mom’s dress! I love the front tie on the bust and how the waist line hit her right before her bump. She was absolutely glowing!
When being photographed for any session in a busy outdoor space, I recommend not competing with your background. Where something neutral and simple that contrasts with your backdrop. This way you pop in the photos in the best way possible!
