Chloe and Zach truly made the most of their engagement session at Kent Island and I can’t wait to share the details. From cozy, windswept embraces to the sweet reveal of their growing family, every detail felt like magic captured in time.

Kent Island

Before diving into the details of their engagement session, I want to share a bit about the gem that is Kent Island. Located in the Chesapeake Bay is historic Kent Island, the largest island in the Bay. It is about an hour south of Baltimore and well worth the drive! From wineries and seafood, to exploring the outdoors and the art district. There is so much charm to experience in this small beach town.

In addition to the history and charm, Kent Island has dozens of beautiful backdrops for your Baltimore engagement photos! For Chloe and Zach’s photos we started int he woods nearby a beach. There we captured all the fall vibes before moving onto the beach. Something I love about the beaches here are the trails that lead to the water, as well as the shrubs that are held back by the sand fencing. It gives variety to your backdrops as well as adds some extra personality to your gallery.

When Chloe and Zach mentioned they wanted to announce their pregnancy during their engagement photos, I was over the moon! Baltimore Engagement Photos On The Bay

My favorite photos from Chloe and Zach’s gallery have to be the ones with them in the water! They are just so carefree and adventurous, not to mention the warm glow from the sunset. The water this time of year in the Bay can be chilly, plus we had a beautiful breeze, so they only went about knee deep in the water. Despite not being fully emerged, their engagement photos still had a fearless feel.

In addition to the water, Kent Island beaches make a stunning backdrop for Baltimore engagement photos. I love the tall cordgrasses that are held back by the sand fencing. Offering you a truly East Coast vibe for your photos! Plus, the beach we went to was rather narrow, so we got a few photos with both the water and the native grasses.
